What are the title and subtitle of the book?

The title of the book is:  “The Queens’ Legacy”The subtitle of the book is:  “Her Journey.  Her Trials.  Her Triumphs.”(Wording is subject to change.)

How many pages/words should I write?

Each co-author will write one full chapter consisting of approximately five-seven (5-7) book pages (at most), which is approximately 1,600 – 2,220 words. The submission should be in Times New Roman, 12 point, double-spaced.

What is the layout of the book?

Each chapter will have a picture of the co-author, their chapter, bio and contact information.  This information is provided so that the reader may contact the co-author directly for information on their products, services and/or business opportunities.

What is the overall goal of the book?
The goal of this project is

1. To create healing for the writer and inspire the reader;

2. To create and showcase PUBLISHED AUTHORS;

3. To create a high quality publication for us to share with our friends, families and clients as desired;

4. To use our collective reputations for exposure, career enhancement and to provide a valuable resource for marketing and promotion;

1. To have a book that will appeal to any audience as many of us speak to college students, teenagers, associations, faculty, administrators, non-profits, community groups, corporations, etc.; andTo create an additional stream of income for the co-authors.

What is the theme?

The theme of the book is assisting women to be inspired to grow through what they go through so that they can become Queens themselves.  Also, to give the authors the opportunity to honor the women in their lives who have left them a legacy.  The title and subtitle will help to convey that approach.  The general concept of the book is that by combining our various stories and perspectives on queenship, the reader(s) will develop a full picture of a Queen and her legacy.  Your chapter will address the topic with your original ideas, theories, perspectives, experiences, stories and so on.

What should be written in my chapter?

The information in your chapter should motivate, inspire, inform and empower readers while providing them with ideas and strategies that will help them to achieve more personal and professional success.  Feel free to use stories, humor, analogies and strategies for achievement. 

HINT:  You may pull a chapter or parts of a chapter from one of your previously written books or articles.  In doing so, the reader will get a feel for who you are and what they will find in your other materials and products.  This will help your chapter be completed more expediently.

As a man, can I be included in this book?

Absolutely!  If you are a woman or have women in your life, this is the book for you!

How will editing, cover design, chapter layout and printing be handled?

Everything other than the actual writing of the chapters will be handled by FIG Publishing and its  team of professionals.  Just write or submit your chapter, your bio and high-resolution photo and leave the rest to us.  A glimpse of the cover design is available at www.thequeenslegacy.com .  The finished product will be a high quality book, 6x9 in dimension.

How will I get copies of my books?

Your copies of the finished product will be shipped to the address that you provide, at your cost.  After the initial print run, copies of the book will be available by contacting FIG Publishing at a cost to be determined by the number of books ordered.   

What are the benefits of participating in the book?

1. Convenience

Short of providing 5-7 pages of written material, your bio and picture, all work will be done for you!!  You don’t have to spend months or years trying to write your own book and get it published.  You will have all of the benefits of being a PUBLISHED AUTHOR in a fraction of the time!!  All editing, typesetting, cover creation, printing and shipping will be handled for you, at the discretion of FIG, the publisher. 

2. Credibility

Each co-author will be regarded as an authority because of his/her inclusion. In addition you will be an official author upon completion of this book.  Many groups have booked speakers simply because of their published materials. 

3. Exposure

Each co-author will receive at least 20X the exposure from all of us promoting and selling the book.  Many people will read your chapter, bio and contact information and will contact you directly to schedule you for speaking engagements, consulting and to order your products. 

For example:

If only 20 co-authors performed only 25 speaking engagements (some more, some less) to an average audience size of only 200 attendees, your information could reach 100,000 people!!  That’s amazing and a tremendous benefit!!  You could not reach that amount of people on your own.  This book offers you tremendous exposure to thousands of people you may not otherwise reach!!

4. Income

You will have a quality book to sell after your presentations, to pre-sell in large quantities prior to each speaking engagement, to sell via your website or to direct mail to your current customers. 

How will the book be marketed and sold?

Each co-author will be marketing and selling their books.  Additionally, FIG Publishing and its assigns will work to market the book in major retailers across the country.

What are the costs for each participating co-author?

We have found that co-authors who have nothing invested, don’t tend to complete the process of writing their chapter.  With that in mind, the Roundtable has assessed a $397  $147.00 reservation fee covers production expenses, cover design, editing, layout, printing, 1,000 promo cards*, web presence* and marketing assistance*.  Also, co-authors are responsible for paying for the books that they order for personal or marketing use as little as $3.00 per book plus shipping.  While 1 book is included in the $147, there is a 100 book minimum order.
